A large and diverse federal government agency requires a Property Leasing Specialist to help maximise their current and future property performance.
Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Property, you will play a key role in reviewing and maximising their current property performance whilst also contributing to their long-term property strategy:
- Undertake property lease negotiations, acquisitions and divestments of property, and define deliverables, analysis of options, milestones and risks.
- Develop commercial leasing strategies to support asset management priorities.
- Deliver property efficiencies through reduction of footprint and/or lease savings.
- Coordinate inputs from relevant areas and stakeholders and engage service providers and consultants.
- Undertake procurements, as it relates to leasing, acquisitions, divestments and property related activities within the team.
- Prepare substantive written submissions, briefs, reports, minutes and other correspondence with internal, external stakeholders and consultants to support property related decisions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive experience in Commonwealth leasing.
- A thorough understanding of the relevant laws relating to leasing (Commonwealth and State).
- A thorough knowledge of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework and Land Acquisitions Act 1989.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- A strong knowledge of commercial contracts and their application.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and team management skills.
- NV 1 Clearance Required

This labour hire assignment is for an initial 12 months with the possibility of extensions, with a temporary hourly rate that is negotiable pending on experience.
