Why this role matters The Salvation Army Australia’s Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children’s and parenting services, counselling, support, men’s programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.
About the role We are seeking a values-driven Property Support Worker who will ensure that the family violence residential properties are maintained at high standards to accommodate victim survivors of family violence. This role will be required to work closely with the Team Leader and the team to support various aspects of the program that include but not limited to WHS and family violence program implementation.
You will successfully Ensure properties are checked for maintenance before, during and after occupancy Ensure properties are cleaned and maintained to high standards Ensure properties are stocked with appropriate household items based on the identified needs of the participants in the program Communicate and action any property maintenance issue raised or identified Coordinate with Team Leaders and Practitioners in supporting service delivery for both adult and child victim survivors Purchase of supplies for the program as required You will have Associate diploma with relevant experience; or relevant certificate with relevant experience attained through previous appointments in property and program support to undertake the range of activities required. Experience of working in the family violence sector and having an understanding of family violence is highly desirable.
Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required. Basic computer skills including experience in data and record management is desirable. Working with children check.
A Current Queensland Drivers licence. This is a Max-Term (30/06/2025), Part-Time (19hrs per week) position located in Noosaville, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Level 4 Award.
