Introduction:
This role will be responsible for preparing Metso technology engineered to order proposals, received from respective Proposal team for submission. This position will focus on solutions for Metso's Bulk Material Handling (BMH) product group. BMH product group is a part of the GBP products currently including Grinding, Bulk, and Pyro equipment.
Metso's BMH product group consists of a team of experts who provide a comprehensive range of engineering products and services, with core competency in material handling and conveying systems. Projects range from engineered service work through to full system retrofit equipment and greenfield equipment supply projects.
What you'll do:

  • Finalise Life Cycle Services proposals received from Global and Local LCS team for submission.
  • Ensure adherence to the Metso Request for quotation [RFQ] to Proposal Finalization processes and procedure.
  • Liaise between the Proposal Engineer, Technical support Team and Site Account Manager to ensure proposal Scope of work is clear and assist BL Proposal team with any follow up required during the process of proposal completion.
  • Ensure the Proposal Engineer provides promise date for proposal and follow up on a regular basis.
  • Ensure Site Account Managers are informed in a timely manner of any potential delay in proposal submission and update on proposal progress.
  • Ensure the approval process is followed prior to submission of the proposal to RFQ Requestor via Sales Force [SF] or via email.
  • Accurate and timely submission of Proposals
  • Ensures Metso T&Cs are applied, and any deviations approved by authorized Managers as per Approval process for MA Proposal Team
  • Ensure Customer PO is commercially and legally compliant with MA Proposal
  • Ensure the Proposal Engineer's confirmation of the technical aspect of the PO received and is compliant to the technical solution proposed in MO proposal.
  • Prepare handover check sheet once the order is received in conjunction with BL Proposal Team, and organize hand over meeting from sales to the project and engineering team to accurately transfer all order information relating to scope of supply and contractual term
  • Working closely with Product Managers and Proposal Engineers in developing accurate and quality proposals for potential customers in a given time frame.
  • Building, developing and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with Finance, HSEQ, department to ensure all relevant documents are available for Tender Submission
Who you are:
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience preferably in mining or a related industry
  • Experience in creation of highly complex and Technical Sales Proposal for supply of modernization and upgrades to the Metso equipment technology portfolios
  • Metso services capabilities knowledge would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in electrical and control systems is a plus.
  • Systems experience with Sales Force, SAP
  • Superior Witten communication and English language skills - ability to write technical descriptions
  • Ability to compile financial estimates and calculate Sales Margin
  • Experience in interpreting complex clients Contractual Terms and conditions and familiarity with Metso General conditions of supply
  • Ability to work with internal product specialists
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks to ensure results are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in the use of databases, spreadsheets (Excel) and e-mail.
  • Ability to liaise with others at all levels of the organization (both internal and external).
  • Analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to prioritise workload
