Tenders and Proposals Manager

The Opportunity:
EnerMech is currently seeking to engage a Tenders and Proposals Manager based in our Henderson office in Perth. In this role you will be pivotal in driving the tender preparation and submission processes focused on heavy Industry / Infrastructure and within the resources sector. You will be responsible for leading and directing end-to-end bid communications including proposal writing, process management and ensuring internal / external compliance.
  
You will be working closely with SME’s and bid teams to gather and manage data and technical content while ensuring consistent communications from tender to pitch. Ensuring the bid costs and outcomes are aligned with commercial and business strategies.
  
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Deliver compliant, professionally produced, and commercially competitive proposals within customer-defined timeframes.
• Initiate reviews with business lines to ensure scope aligns with company capabilities.
• Lead the Proposals and Tender team, fostering continuous development aligned with company requirements.
• Review of client terms and conditions, ensuring the company’s risks are minimized to as low as possible, in line with the contracting principles.
• Coordinate and review/edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, business line managers, project manager, engineers, finance, commercial, human resources and recruitment.
• Assess and communicate project risks based on a thorough knowledge of proposal documents, coordinate overall estimates and Proposals in conjunction with the business line managers and present as required.
• Creation of technical, commercial, marketing and promotional narratives.
• Preparation of RFP’s for vendors and subcontractors and evaluation of the resulting responses.
• Ability to coach sales teams and key account managers in persuasive writing and Proposals best practice.

 To be successful in this role you will:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or Engineering Field.
• Technical knowledge
• 5 + years’ experience in bid Proposal
• High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum)
• Able to adopt the concept of continuous improvement.
• Proposal automation software (or similar) experience
• Proven track record of controlling and reducing external spend whilst developing a robust supplier base.
