Ongoing fulltime vacancy

The LE2 Prosecuting Solicitor is accountable to the SupervisingSenior Prosecutor for the provision of prosecution servicesincluding adjudication and less-complex advocacy. The ProsecutingSolicitor is expected to conduct prosecution files within the lowerrange of complexity and works under limited supervision anddirection of the Supervising Senior Prosecutor.

The LE3 Prosecuting Solicitor is accountable to the ProsecutionUnit Manager for the provision of prosecution services includingadjudication, negotiation and advocacy. The Prosecuting Solicitoris expected to manage prosecution files across the full range ofcomplexity.

The Prosecuting Solicitor is expected to act in accordance withthe ethics of the legal profession.

Special Conditions

  • The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
  • The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work may be required
  • Some Intrastate travel is a requirement of the position.
  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
  • The incumbent must successfully complete the relevant Induction Course.
  • Flexible Working arrangements encouraged to support work life balance and personal commitments

Requirements
A degree inlaw and admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of SouthAustralia

Salary
LE2 - $80,460 -$91,258 per annum
LE3 - $93,563 - $101,003 per annum
