The purpose of the Paediatric / Adult Orthopaedic (Spine) Surgery Provisional Fellow position at The Children's Hospital at Westmead is to provide advanced training in theory, clinical skills, teaching, surgery and related research to become clinically proficient in the care of patients with complex spine problems and adept at managing this care in the context of the family. The position is available for 12 months from 03-Feb-2025 to 01-Feb-2026.
Selection Criteria: * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.

  • Registered as an advanced trainee with a relevant College or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in paediatrics is desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to further education and professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. This is a Category A position.
