A full-time fixed term community position, rotating roster with morning and evening shifts over the 7-day week is available for an interested, passionate Psychiatric State Enrolled Nurse. (Flexibility within this is available for someone who might require part time hrs).
This role sits within a team of nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists and medical staff who work collaboratively to support the Mental Health needs of individuals with a mental illness who reside in the City of Melton and parts of Brimbank.
Key Requirements
The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse clinician is a member of a multi-disciplinary care team and is accountable for effective clinical care, commensurate with their clinical skills at a level of proficiency or expertise aligned to their level of experience and within the professional standards, codes and behaviours as legislated through the Health Act, relevant professional bodies, and Western Health Policy, Standards and Practice Guidelines.
Including:
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Medication psychoeducation and support
- Ensuring the treatment and medication rooms are maintained in good working order and fully supplied
- Physical health assessment and feedback to treating team
- Undertaking relevant audits and feedback results
