Access theThis temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.An exciting opportunity exists for psychologists, Social Workersand Guidance Officers to deliver statewide wellbeing services via telepractice. This temporary vacancy will commence as soon as possible for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined.We are seeking innovative psychologists, Social Workersand Guidance Officers – wellbeing to provide services to students and schools using a combination of virtual service from our Brisbane telepractice hub and in person visits, as necessary, to our rural and remote schools.About the Role:
- Use virtual platforms to deliver effective telepractice services to students with mild to moderate mental health concerns in rural and remote locations
- Potential for travel into schools as required
- Collaborate with external providers and families to support co-ordinated service
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary school-based teams through utilising clinical reasoning, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in mental health assessment and therapeutic intervention for children and adolescents
- An understanding of working within complex organisational systems to support client or student needs
- A keen interest or experience in delivering therapeutic services through the telepractice modality.
- Comprehensive professional supervision, including regular mentoring and peer support.
