About the Role:
As our Mental Health Clinician, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary Mental Health team within Aged Care facilities to support residents with Mental Health disorders.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Providing focused psychological interventions (individuals/groups) to clients across the aged care residential facilities within Sonders service areas
- Planning and implementing assessment and treatment services
- Group program development and implementation where appropriate
- Liaison and consultation with other professional employees
- Participate in individual and group sessions, and attendance at team and external meetings
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years supervised experience in the area of Mental Health
- A minimum 2 years relevant professional development and or supervision
- Experience in the delivery of cognitive behaviour therapy and other evidence based interventions
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Drivers Licence - current and unrestricted
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Willing to work in Aged Care facilities across Gawler/Nurioopta
- Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology or Mental Health nursing
- Membership of an appropriate professional body. Social workers are required to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists, Mental Health nurses, and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA
- Safe environments - Through their Eyes Certificate (desirable but not required)
