Fixed vacancy for 2 years available in Nhulunbuy
Selection will be made at the P3 or N4R level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant.
An opportunity has become available within the East Arnhem Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs team to work as part of a multidisciplinary health team and engaging closely with other service providers. The role will engage in the provision of Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drug Services in the emergency department and community. It will deliver advanced clinical assessment for clients presenting with dual diagnosis, implement appropriate use of therapeutic interventions using evidence based collaborative care ensuring, promoting linkages with broader health and community services and ensuring Aboriginal specific and culturally appropriate services are provided. The role will work in line with the NT Mental Health Act and provide assessment, crisis intervention, treatment and case management services. Applicants will be required to hold a valid NT drivers licence (or be eligible to acquire same) and travel via 4WD or light aircraft to remote communities across East Arnhem Region of the Northern Territory, and participate in an on call roster.
