About Us
Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional Correctional Services and Programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Justice sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community. CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.
Custody-based Sex Offender Programs is located at Long Bay Correctional Complex, Malabar. We work within a therapeutic treatment wing delivering advanced clinical interventions using evidenced-based risk assessment and individual and group-based treatment interventions. Whilst CBT is the primary modality, a range of other interventions are incorporated to meet the needs of the client, including DBT, Schema Therapy, ACT, Trauma Informed Practice
Assist individuals who have committed sexual offences to develop skills and strategies to make better decisions in their life. Challenge yourself by working with complex clients with a variety of presenting issues and backgrounds. Develop your skills in providing long-term in-depth group and individual based intervention.
What you'll do
Psychologists work directly with offenders in custody. Our psychologists are highly valued and essential members of the team who work hard to make a difference and provide opportunities to assist offenders in reducing the risk of re-offending.
Sex Offender Program is committed to delivering high-quality cognitive behavioural therapies with a focus on behaviour change and self-efficacy and self-awareness of clients. The positive impacts you will make as a clinician will extend beyond your direct client, to the client's family and the wider community.

What we're looking for
Minimum four years' accredited qualification in psychology with current provisional or full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
Current drivers' licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
