At Sutherland Shire Council, we are dedicated to maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of our local environment. We are looking for a Public Place Cleaner to help us uphold our high standards in waste management and cleanliness throughout the Sutherland Shire.
As a Public Place Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in keeping our parks, town centres, and public facilities spotless and welcoming for all residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities and DutiesYour main responsibilities will include cleaning public areas such as parks, street furniture, public toilets, and Council-owned buildings. You will ensure that all cleaning tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
You will also be responsible for maintaining cleaning equipment, responding to customer requests promptly, and ensuring all sites have an adequate supply of cleaning materials.
Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for candidates who have a valid Class C driver's licence, previous cleaning experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Drivers Licence Class C
- Demonstrated cleaning experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks
- Basic computer skills

- Package: $57,700 - $61,100 gross p.a. plus 11% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time (38hours) with a 9-day fortnight. You will need to be available to work a 7-day rotating roster and will be required to work one weekend per fortnight.
