Due to an internal move, an opportunity has become available for a Public Relations Coordinator to join the team that is responsible for the strategic customer-facing communication activities for The Lott and Keno. This is an ideal role for a Public Relations or communications graduate or professional with limited experience keen to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What you'll do

  • Assist with The Lott and Keno's winners experience, including producing and managing winners' letters, and distributing the winner's booklet and kit.
  • Develop and distribute media releases and associated media communication in a way that maximises potential coverage.
  • Ensure winner databases and records are accurate, kept up-to-date and remain confidential.
  • Monitor and report on media coverage of The Lott and Keno and its brands, including providing weekly and monthly media coverage reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the PR team's administration operations, including making payments, setting up suppliers, distributing retailer plaques and filing documents and records.
  • Support proactive Public Relations campaigns for The Lott and Keno that are aligned to key business objectives, including assistance with community partnerships as required.
  • Contribute to the creation of The Lott and Keno content aligned with the content strategy, including producing YouTube videos.

What you'll bring

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Public Relations or communications are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal with the ability to establish and maintain rapport with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and handle matters with maturity, confidentiality, tact and discretion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to identify and articulate key messages.
  • Ability to write in a range of styles and formats, strong proof-reading skills, and excellent grammatical skills are essential.
  • Strong planning, project management and prioritisation skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Understanding of Public Relations principles and the role Public Relations plays in supporting Marketing initiatives.
  • In addition to proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop is desirable.
  • Time management to prioritise daily tasks and projects.
