An exciting opportunity exists to join Norfolk & Rogue Foods - Australia's producer of value added and further processed meat and plant-based products.

The Opportunity

We have a Casual opportunity for a Quality Assurance Monitor in our Quality Team based in North Coburg/Reservoir. 

What you’ll be doing with us

• Process monitoring including monitoring of CCP's, CP's and label checks etc
• Conduct daily good manufacturing practice checks (GMP) and QA verification activities.
• Allergen swabbing – during production
• Routine daily inspections of product quality 
• Place product on hold as required and notify the Quality Co-ordinator 
• Undertake necessary corrective action by liaising with the Operations Manager in case products are not per specification
• Maintain and update all quality monitoring records 
• Understand the functionality quality-monitoring devices onsite
• Assist and participate in all QA related internal and external audits 
• Assist in maintaining and improving existing Quality Management System to comply with HACCP and Coles food safety certification requirement and other customer standards
• Actively be involved in the process for continuous improvement of the products i.e. shelf life extension, troubleshoot on the line to improve the quality of the product
• Liaise with other teams to ensure a smooth new product launch
• Participate in production duties as necessary between checks

What you’ll need to do to succeed

• QA experience is not necessary, on the job training will be provided.
• Production experience will be looked upon favorably  
• A Tertiary background is not preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach to managing workload
• Be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment 
• Be self-motivated, flexible and able to work both autonomously and in a team 
• Have a genuine interest and passion for food, and be happy to share your ideas and feedback with the team to contribute to the growth of our product range and quality improvement
