QAQC Coordinator

Deepwater Australasia are currently recruiting a QAQC Coordinator on a full-time, permanent basis to join our team in Perth, Australia.

The QA/QC Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained for our business in Australia. This position will be responsible for quality assurance and quality control tasks and facilitating all inspection activities, both locally and internationally.

Duties/Responsibilites

• Ownership of ISO9001 Quality Management System for local business in Australia, with continuous promotion of awareness and compliance to Deepwater' Management system within the team
• Collaborate with International offices to migrate towards a group ISO9001 Certification
• Attend all project kick off meetings to address contractual quality requirements, conduct pre-production /pre-inspection meetings with all suppliers and subcontracts to ensure all quality control activities have been understood for the project
• Support all projects to maintain quality compliance to client, internal and statutory requirements, continuous communication with the client, procurement, engineers, project management and management team will be critical
• Provide quality services directly to internal & external customers
• Conduct regular compliance audits of all suppliers of the business, in accordance with Quality Management system
• Conduct investigations through to completion for all Non-Conformances and implementation of required processes to eliminate further Non-Conformances of same nature to occur
• Developing project ITP's, review and approve supplier/subcontractor quality deliverables, inclusive of MDR's
• Completion of Quality inspections, both locally and internationally (some travel may be required), identifying conformance against internal and client specified criteria
• Coordination of the submission of all client's deliverable documentation
• Provide document control support and guidance to the projects team
• Provide safety leadership for all areas of the business, actively monitoring work practices to identify hazards and advise correct safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within Oil & Gas Industry for 3-5+ years, specifically working within an ISO9001 quality environment
• Internal Auditor Qualification and demonstrated experience
• Welding Supervisor and/or Inspection Qualification (Desirable)
• Coating Inspection Qualification - NACE2 (Desirable)
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) (Desirable)
• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment, previous site-based experience will be highly regarded
• Knowledge of relevant local and international QHSE regulations
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
