About the Opportunity:
Join the Quality team as a QC Officer, working closely with the team to drive quality standards. Excellent influencing and communication skills are required for this role, along with an understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). You will be someone who can make a positive contribution to the team, taking pride and ownership of your role and performance. As the QC Officer, you will report to the QC Laboratory Supervisor and specialize in testing raw materials in accordance with relevant monographs and current GMP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sampling raw materials within a cleanroom environment using appropriate sampling techniques.
- Testing a wide range of raw materials in accordance with internal specifications and assembling data packages to enable release.
- Testing water samples, finished products, and stability samples according to specifications.
- Collaborating with external testing laboratories and internal departments to meet raw material release timelines that support manufacturing operations.
- Performing general laboratory tasks in accordance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), including procuring necessary consumables and reagents.
- Investigating out-of-specification results related to raw materials and ensuring appropriate CAPA’s (Corrective and Preventive Actions) are implemented.
- Updating and maintaining raw material and finished product specifications as directed.
- Updating and maintaining relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Standard Test Methods (STMs).
- Contributing to team building, training, and problem-solving initiatives within the Quality Team and inter-departmentally.
- Performing additional duties as requested by the Laboratory Supervisor or Quality Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience testing raw materials within a GMP environment.
- Experience in writing and reviewing technical documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a high standard of attention to detail.
