QCCP Building Officer

The Package: $1,546.64 - $1,709.00 gross per week + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 12 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Fulltime– 35 hours per week. Flex time conditions may apply. 

Are you a passionate individual with a keen eye for detail? Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council has an exciting opportunity within the Building and Facilities team to manage facilities and ensure safety within the Queanbeyan Civic and Cultural Precinct.

In this role you will:

• Support facilities management to ensure statutory maintenance, risk, safety, compliance and sustainability.
• Develop, implement, and manage work programs for the QCCP. 
• Coordinate contracted building and maintenance resources.
• Manage contracts for cleaning, commercial waste, trade waste and security services.

We are looking for someone who: 

• Has Facilities Management experience as well as a trade or engineering background.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills in both written and oral form.
• Demonstrates a developed understanding of contract management and can assist with procurement activities.
• Possesses sound knowledge and ability in the Microsoft suite of programs, and record keeping.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of all property onsite facilities services such as fire safety measures, security, mechanical services, electrical, hydraulic and structural systems.
