SecMedic is seeking registered Paramedics to join our crew for events and festivals. To be part of our team, you will need to have completed a Bachelor of Paramedicine. Successful applicants will also hold verifiable experience as a paramedic in a jurisdictional ambulance service and have successfully completed a grad program. This role requires 3+ years experience, including grad program, as a paramedic.
Secmedic seek continuous demonstration of professional leadership from our Qualified Paramedics. Qualified para's are encouraged to lead crews, develop professional skills, be involved in mentoring and training, conduct verification of skills on the job, support the Medical Commander and work collaboratively across all health disciplines to support an event.
Our Qualified Paramedics have opportunity to become enrolled in our specialisation pathways. For Qualified Paramedics, the pathway opportunities being offered in 2024 include Mass Casualty, Triage, Industrial specialisation. These programs are company funded and available by invitation.
SecMedic run a graduate pathway program and we actively encourage our Qualified Paramedics to buddy and mentor with our graduates. This mentoring runs for up to 52 weeks and helps everyone to work together to create great future health professionals.
Our paramedics have options to work within Victoria or travel interstate as part of the clinical team. We provide 2-3 months advance notice of events as we recognise that many of our team are juggling full time rosters with a state based emergency health service or hospital. This is a great opportunity to retain full-time employment and work in pre-hospital to advance your CV and have fun with a great team.
