What you'll be doing
The Quality and Risk Manager will provide specialised support to the ISLHD Division Kids and Families(K&F), with the primary focus being the support of the district wide Child and Family (C&F) service. This will require developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal stakeholders such as K&F Executive, C&F Service Managers and staff to ensure that a consistent and integrated framework of staff and client safety, quality improvement and risk management is fully established and operating across all aspects of the Service's activities. The position will also have a key role in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders involved in the support, management and care of clients accessing Child and Family services.
The position will play a lead role and be a key resource in ensuring C&F meet the required National Standards for Accreditation.

Selection Criteria * Relevant clinical qualifications (registered psychologist, registered nurse, allied health professional with AHPRA registration or eligibility for peak professional association) or health information management qualifications and or relevant experience in a clinical setting.

  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and evaluation of clinical quality activities and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of safety improvement and risk management activities.
  • Experience and awareness in complaints management and investigation.
  • Experience in National Standards accreditation processes, project and change management.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills combined with high level verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively manage competing workload priorities and provision of reports within tight timeframes.
  • Computer skills including Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Intranet and Internet. Experience with QARS, ERMS, CHOC, IIMS an advantage.
  • Current NSW Drivers license.
