We are in a period of exciting and significant investment in the Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University's ambitious strategic plan, we are looking for a Quality and Accreditation Officer to join our Education team on a continuing, full-time basis. This role will be a great opportunity to use your exceptional administrative and organisational experience to support the coordination and implementation of education quality, accreditation and compliance requirements and associated processes for the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

There is a requirement for these positions to be on site a minimum of 3 days a week. Hybrid working options will be decided with your manager if you are successful in this position.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Act as a first point of contact and coordination for the work area regarding all aspects of accreditations and ensure required documentation is compiled for each accreditation cycle and annual report
  • support assessment of education quality across the faculty, including coordination and implementation of the Course Quality Review process
  • work with key stakeholders across the Faculty and University to collect, analyse and compile the required data in support of accreditation readiness activities
  • supports Manager, Head of Education and Associate Dean Education to translate stated needs and specifications into effective processes, reports and submissions aligned with accrediting body requirements and regulatory standards
  • maintains a central repository of all accreditation and compliance documents, reports and regulatory mandates for the Faculty
  • actively contributes to FMH Education team initiatives and engages in the Quality Community of Practice, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality

About you

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative, and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work in a positive manner
  • demonstrated skills in project coordination and administration gained in higher education, or a fast-paced and complex operating environment
  • excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills. Influencing skills and the ability to building strong relationships with stakeholders
  • excellent written communication skills and attention to detail, including proficiency in drafting and preparing large and complex reports, and presenting information clearly and accurately
  • a sound understanding of and ability to interpret higher education policy, procedures, regulatory codes and Accreditation standards
  • high level organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities, taking responsibility to ensure completion with accuracy and attention to detail
  • well developed analytical and critical thinking skills including an ability to analyse and present data effectively
