Civmec are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Advisor to join our team located in the Henderson office. As a Quality Assurance Advisor you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our projects in the mining and resources sector. From implementing quality control measures to conducting audits, your expertise will be essential in maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement. You will complete Quality Assurance audits, of in progress and completed works to ensure contractual / company compliance and effective risk management principles are maintained, This role will require a willingness to travel to Civmec project sites.

The Role
  • Undertaking internal and supplier/subcontractor audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Assist in development, review, and management of quality documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality performance data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements.
  • Prepare and present regular quality reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO standards and company policies.
About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Lead Auditor certification with a demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance requirements and relevant ISO standards
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Advisor and/or Auditor, preferably within the construction, engineering, or resources industries.
  • Advanced written communications skills with the ability to prepare reports, plans, technical instructions etc.
  • Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident liaising with clients, suppliers, and colleagues across multiple disciplines.
  • Proven experience within ISO 9001 Quality Management.
  • Understanding of welding processes and inspection requirements.
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to quality and their application.
