Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QA Technician will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance function at the site based in Scoresby.
The Quality Technician is the custodian of the product quality that enters and leaves the Scoresby plant. You will work with cross functional departments and stakeholders across Davey internally, as well as with customers and suppliers to implement and maintain robust QA/QC processes to ensure product conformance and continuous improvement
Key responsibilities include;
- Supporting the quality agenda within the factory/operations
- Driving compliance to meet all regulatory, and company requirements/standards.
- Assistance in maintaining vendor assurance program
- Implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce customer complaints
- Support NPD programs and initiatives
- Drive Quality systems
- Formal qualification in engineering or trade
- Experience in ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems would be beneficial
- Proven skills in root cause analysis and corrective / preventative action and auditing
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good communications skills for supplier interaction via phone calls and e-mail correspondence
- Experienced in manufacturing Quality Assurance
- Experience with die casting or plastic injection moulding would be beneficial
