As our next Quality & Environment Officer, you will be hands-on and coordinate with a small team to sort and categorise various waste materials, then analyse the data to draw meaningful conclusions. You will be a good communicator with the ability to interact at all levels, have a passion for sustainability, be naturally inquisitive, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
Skills and qualifications required
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Quality & Environment
- Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Ability to wear a mask while working in various facilities
- Police clearance less than three months old
- Current ‘C’ class driver's licence
- Ability to work autonomously and coordinate small teams
- Technical report writing skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of waste auditing methods and techniques, specific technologies in resource recovery and municipal waste streams and characteristics.
- Knowledge of ISO standards 9001, 14001, and 45001
