Our client is seeking to appoint a leader to manage effective quality control processes, maintain quality records and address non conformances whilst upholding and executing the following fundamentals:
- Provide expert guidance on setting quality specifications and standards for raw materials, in-process and finished goods;
- Prepare for and lead audits, acting as the primary contact for auditors;
- Consult on the development and recommendation of inspection and sampling techniques/quality control plans;
- Conduct specialized research on product defects and advise on modifications;
- Provide expertise to ensure effective training of production staff in Quality Management & specialized input on inspection and testing procedures;
- Conduct and analyse regular quality checks and audits of raw materials and finished products;
- Prepare reports on quality assurance activities and performance metrics;
- Work closely with production teams to promote quality awareness and practices.
You demonstrate a commitment to quality outcomes and can provide proven examples of operating effectively within similar environments laced with protocol, policy and complex framework. You take pride in each component you undertake with a keen eye for detail, have an innate ability to operate autonomously and possess a personal sense of responsibility to ensure strength in sound advice and support across the wider business.
- Quality Assurance specialisation with a minimum of 5 years in a food processing/raw materials/stock feed/finished goods environment;
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Nutrition, Quality Management, or a related field;
- Demonstrated effective HACCP management practices;
- Knowledge of WHS requirements;
- Ability and willingness to travel to sites across QLD + NSW as required.
