About the Role
Deliver high level medical imaging services, perform role of Quality and Safety radiographer, assist with day-to-day operational management and contribute to medical imaging training / education at Logan and Beaudesert Hospital, Eight Mile Plains Satellite hospital and Logan Urgent & Specialist Care Centre (LUSCC).
- The HP4 radiographer reports operationally to the modality Team Leader and professionally to Assistant Directors, Medical Imaging Services.
- Perform complex diagnostic examinations in one or more Modalities (MRI, CT and General/ Emergency Radiography).
- Has a broad understanding of the continuum of care, ACHS (Australian Council on Healthcare Standards) and DIAS (Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme) accreditation processes and Radiation Safety Act and requirements and liaises with accreditation bodies and relevant departments to compile documentation required to demonstrate compliance to accreditation standards and Radiation Safety Act and Regulations.
- Perform the required duties of the Safety & Quality Radiographer by applying high level skills and experience to achieve and maintain accreditation under the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NSQHSS) and Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme (DIAS)'s framework.
