Join our multidisciplinary, collaborative, and dedicated team to provide efficient and high-quality breast cancer screening and assessment services. As an Advanced Trainee in Radiology with BreastScreen NSW, Hunter New England Local Health District, you will be based in Newcastle at the Waratah site, with periodic travel to our Tamworth fixed site.

What are we looking for in our ideal candidate?
- Qualifications: Must meet the expected minimum requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists to apply.
- Registration: MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, compassionate and evidence based medical care.
- Experience: Recent experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing imaging services.
- Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, adept at addressing challenging scenarios such as obtaining informed consent, delivering bad news and managing difficult patient interactions, along with proven ability to provide clear and concise clinical correspondence promptly.
What will you be doing?
- Clinical Services: Provide client-focused and evidence-based breast imaging and interventional services in line with Breastscreen Australia (BSA) National Accreditation Standards (NAS).
- Diagnostic Services: Under direction of the Director of Breast Imaging HNEI, deliver diagnostic breast radiology services.
- Administrative Duties: Participate in relevant administration duties, meetings, and training activities.
- Record Keeping: Maintain high standards of clinical record documentation.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in after hours and on-call activities to maintain general skills and knowledge.
- Teaching: Supervise and teach undergraduate staff and other staff as appropriate.
