What You Will Be Responsible For

• Designing networks to withstand and recover from disruptions and failures.
• Designing scalable networks to handle user and data traffic increases - ensuring flexibility, optimum performance and reliability.
• Establishing industrial and serial communication protocols for real-time communication.
• Carefully planning and implementing Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) integrations for seamless data exchange and interoperability.
• Installing and configuring switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points across the rail operation.
• Implementing robust security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Using encryption, authentication, access control, and audit trails to secure communication channels and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Conducting risk mitigation exercises like design review and assessments (DRA), and threat and vulnerability assessments (TVA)
  

What you will bring to the role

• Proven success as a Senior Network Engineer with experience in architecture and design or as a Network Architect
• Advanced network device management and configuration
• Experience with NIST, ISO and/or Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
• Experience implementing industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, CAN bus, OPC-UA and/or DDS
