AddressWe have an opportunity for an R&D Technician to join our team of casual staff at the Arnott's Campbell's Soup Factory in Shepparton. On offer is the potential to work a variety of shifts with attractive pay rates and optional overtime. Permanent opportunities are available if that is your goal.
Ideally you will have worked within the pharmaceutical, food manufacturing or FMCG industry. Full training will be provided.
The role of an R&D Technician is to
- Working with the Product Development team to assist with the development of new product concepts, as well the continuous improvement of existing product lines
- Conducting Pilot Plant trials within a food production/GMP environment
- Weighing, blending and processing various ingredients
- Analytical testing of ingredients, samples and finished products
- Bagging, packaging, preparation, and storage of product samples
- Accurate data entry and record keeping
- Maintaining the Pilot Plant: ingredients, sourcing from the factory, accurate labelling, sample storage and shelf life management
- Organising and tracking of sample shipments and deliveries
What we are looking for
Ideally you will have some previous experience working in a food/hospitality or GMP manufacturing environment.
You will have a high attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and instructions carefully.
You will also be required to work semi-autonomously with the ability to assess and prioritise tasks.
You will have high level problem solving and troubleshooting skills as well as a high standard of oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also be required to have an intermediate level of computer literacy and experience in using Microsoft Office for emails, excel spreadsheets and word processing.
