Do you have clinical experience (human / veterinary) and a passion for animal care, but you're looking for a change? Ripley Vets is seeking a full-time Client Liaison to join our reception team. We believe that your clinical expertise can add immense value to our front desk operations.

In this role, you'll be the face of Ripley Vets, utilizing your:

  • Excellent client service and communication skills - your clinical background allows you to empathize with pet owners and address their concerns effectively. 
  • Superb organizational and time management skills, honed through your experience in a clinical setting - ensuring smooth coordination of appointments and follow-ups.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, acquired through your clinical work - essential for managing a bustling reception area. 
  • Strong attention to detail, developed through your clinical responsibilities - ensuring accuracy in administrative tasks.

Wondering what a typical day as an RVH Client Liaison entails? Here's a sneak peek:

  • Greet clients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, leveraging your clinical experience to reassure pet owners and provide them with confidence in our services. 
  • Answer incoming calls with enthusiasm and professionalism, drawing on your clinical knowledge to address inquiries and provide accurate information. 
  • Keep the reception area organized and presentable, applying your clinical eye for detail to maintain a welcoming environment. 
  • Utilize your administrative skills to assist with various tasks, such as managing social media platforms and coordinating community events.
  • Supporting clients through the difficult times and savor the moments of puppy cuddles and slobbery kisses
  • Join a team member in running puppy preschool classes (on rotation)
     

Requirements:

  • Passion for engaging with clients face-to-face, this role is a front desk role not your ordinary administration role
  • Clinical experience in a veterinary clinic or human medial setting preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Strong multitasking abilities and an ability to work under pressure, mitigate risks, and be solution-focused 
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and delegate when necessary.
  • Proficiency in maintaining information in systems like Ezyvet, data entry and file management as well as understanding of insurance providers Gap only and Petcover preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Confidence in making informed decisions and implementing operational processes and procedures.
  • High levels of positive energy, motivation, and a passion for what we do and why we do it. 
  • Must be available to work Saturdays on rotation 
  • Shifts are rostered as either 7:30am-5:30pm or 8am-6:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm (38 hour weeks, 1 RDO per week)
