Job description

This resource will be required to provide high level, in depth specialised systems analysis and advice to effectively evaluate processes and methods used in the NTG Records Management Systems and identify relevant modifications and/or additional system components to meet agreed whole of government business requirements. Must have:

Skills:

  • Strengths in business requirements gathering and effective stakeholder engagement
  • Strengths in project planning and coordination
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to translate complex analytical and technical information into clear and meaningful terms
  • Highly skilled in business systems analysis and design
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills with high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to be flexible with work assignments in a constantly changing environment and on multiple consecutive projects across the NTG environment
  • Ability to coordinate relative testing with various stakeholders
  • Ability to work with vendor system support in seeking assistance with system issues or system enhancements/improvements
  • Ability to provide advice and feedback to DCDD on issues
Requirements

Applicants are Required to submit a Valid National Police Clearance

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience with records management and/or records management systems such as Open Text Content Manager (previously Micro Focus or HPE)
  • Significant experience / understanding of NT Government recordkeeping legislation, policies and procedures – knowledge of or previous experience in an Australian government environment, is preferred
  • Significant experience in business systems analysis and business requirements gathering
  • Significant experience in the development and maintenance of technical and business documentation including functional requirements
  • Significant experience in the development and maintenance of business classification schemes
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing software upgrades and undertaking system testing, and liaising with technical service providers such as Open Text
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and performing unit and integration testing of systems
  • Demonstrated experience in working and performing in situations where there are tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment with the ability to collaborate and knowledge transfer to other team members
