COMMUNITY PLUS CLINICIAN HOPS - MERCY MENTAL HEALTH
ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will be part of the Community Plus team, a hybrid MST and HOPS program. It's a recovery focused multi-disciplinary team who provides an extended hours clinical service to people who live within the municipalities of Wyndham, Hobson's Bay and Maribyrnong. In addition to experiencing significant mental illness/mental health problems your clients will have other health and psycho social needs that significantly impact their wellbeing. With your team's support, which includes other HOPS clinicians, you will facilitate comprehensive responses for those needs, and be required to work closely with the local homelessness agencies.

  • Based at our Saltwater Clinic in vibrant Footscray
  • Salary Range $42.82- $ 52.49

  • Engagement with external service providers to develop integrated support systems
ABOUT YOU:
  • Experienced Mental Health Nurse with NMBA registration as a Registered nurse or Occupational Therapist or Psychologist with Clinical Endorsement registered with AHPRA or a social worker with an approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Experience in managing an independent caseload, and delivering treatment or care to people experiencing mental illness using a recovery based framework
  • Experience with and understanding of interventions and services that support clients with complex interconnected needs

Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
