- Hourly rates are contingent upon experience and qualifications, with additional compensation for applicable shift differentials.
Your Role:
As a member of a cross-functional team, you will support operations by optimizing system performance, promptly addressing faults, and continuously seeking improvement opportunities to enhance overall system efficiency. The successful candidate will work autonomously within a large team and must demonstrate the ability to think critically and make prompt decisions.
- Monitoring, fault correction, and housekeeping of automated material handling equipment in a fast-paced production environment
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, root cause analysis and computer systems issues, and escalate as appropriate
- Investigate and resolve system material flow issues
- Facilitate continuous improvement activities through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site in scope.
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with effected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the Automation Maintenance Manager.
About you:
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Strong communicator, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to accurately identify colours including red, blue, white, yellow, and green
- Meet physical requirements including:
- Frequent walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time
- Working at heights of up to 30 metres (wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE)
- Working in confined spaces
- Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 25kgs unassisted
- Located in an industrial precinct, personal transportation is advantageous for the candidate
