Our clientis Australia's and in fact one of the world's largest privately owned recycling companies! They are an industry leader in innovation and sustainability, recovering materials such as cardboard, paper, plastic, steel, aluminum and glass, which otherwise would of been destined to landfill. Making it easy to recover recyclable materials to preserve our earth's precious resources.
The work environment is dirty, noisy and smelly, it requires physical fitness to be on your feet all shift and will NOT suit anyone who suffers from motion sickness as involves working alongside moving conveyor belts.
The position itself is not difficult, working as a general labourer sorting recycling materials. You'd need to be able to follow instructions in order to operate machinery and have good hand /eye coordination to work quickly and pull out products as they come past you on the conveyor system.
Site is located in Carrara.
Positions are casual but ongoing 5 days per week Monday to Friday!
Day shift 5am - 1pm $31/hr approx.
Afternoon shift 2pm - 9.30pm $37/hr approx.
Before considering this position, please ensure you can be counted on as being RELIABLE and enthusiastic plus ideally you will have experience working within either a production or challenging process work type environment!
Note this role will require a good physical fitness level as can involve repetitive reaching, lifting and bending etc. so you will need to be very energetic!
**Forklift and/or Front End Loader licence would be considered highly advantageous!!**
