We have an opportunity available for a Yard Team Member/ Forklift Operator to join our close-knit team, based in Crestmead.
Your new role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will safely operate machinery.
Your role will include but not be limited to:
- Operate equipment, including forklift and excavators (where licensed)
- Perform daily forklift tasks, including daily inspections
- Accurately weigh, label, and close all filled Containers
- Unload/load product from trailers in accordance with receiving schedule
- Maintain dock area in a clean manner
- Assist with general warehouse labour as assigned when not driving
- Ensure customers receive a high level of service
- Other duties as assigned
- Grading and sorting materials
- Demonstrating personal responsibility for and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Forklift (LF) license
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to load Containers with the Forklift
- A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training in order to diversify your skills
- Excellent attendance, reliability and attention to detail
- Must have own transport as there is not public transport
It’s an added advantage but not essential if you have:
- Previous knowledge and understanding of scrap metal processing
- Excavators Licenses

- Consistent shift Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and overtime when required

- Upgrading to Full Time to the right person
