Refrigeration Technician (OPF)
Work Location:
Fortescue's Solomon project is located on the traditional lands of the Yindjibarndi people.
Roster:
8D6R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton or Karratha
Reporting to the OPF Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated Refrigeration Technician to join the Maintenance team at Solomon. This position will be required to perform duties throughout the site as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete statutory service reports, scope work, identify parts requirements and complete installations.
- Carry out refrigeration servicing, repairs and inspection on all equipment at Fortescue's operations.
- Provide safe, effective and timely refrigeration maintenance.
- Ability to work autonomously and cohesively along with all departments of the maintenance teams to ensure repairs are completed safely.
- Schedule maintenance and breakdown fault finding on a wide range of infrastructure equipment including industrial chiller units and large A/C units for switch room's.
- Liaise with the planning team to ensure planned maintenance schedule is implemented, creating/reviewing maintenance strategies and adjusting to suit the plants condition.
- Work in parallel with the Electrical maintenance team to align and structure strategies and repairs accordingly to ensure a safe system of work and efficiently maintain equipment and uphold and improve reliability.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Fortescue's Safety policy and procedures and in line with relevant Australian Standards
- Refrigeration Trade Certificate
- Restricted Electrical licence or equivalent
- ARCtick Refrigeration Handling licence RAC01
- At least 3 year's post trade work experience
- Mining/heavy industry experience (highly favourable)
- Ability to communicate across multiple departments with a commitment to service
- Current C Class Drivers licence
