Unique Strategic Leadership position in a Tier 1 construction business
Develop and implement commercial strategies for all Lendlease Construction projects across the QLD and NT region
Be an authoritative voice to senior management on matters relating to commercial risks and opportunities
About the role:
Due to internal movement, we a seeking a strong Regional Commercial Manager with a proven background in construction. The role focuses on the development and implementation of commercial strategies, as well as providing authoritative advice to senior management on matters relating to commercial risks and opportunities, for all Lendlease Construction projects across the QLD and NT region in order to achieve financial and operational success of the Regional Business Unit.
Your responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
Provide regular management reports against key commercial measures including a portfolio wide view of commercial risks and opportunities.
Develop commercial strategies to ensure financial success of the RBU
Develop commercial strategies to assist bid teams while taking into account possible risks
Undertake, in conjunction with the internal legal team, a risk assessment of the Contract and develop appropriate measures to maximise the opportunities or minimise the risks including the management of contractual qualifications
Undertake regular management reviews on each project to ensure conformance with the Lendlease processes and identify key commercial risks and opportunities and formulate appropriate strategies for these
Provide commercial guidance to construction managers on contract and risk management methodology regarding costings, programming, etc.
To be successful you will need:
15 years’ + experience in commercial and contract administration gained on construction or associated projects or related business positions.
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Business or other associated disciplines
Evidence of leadership that can motivate and engage commercial staff
Ability to develop and deploy appropriate training programmes to ensure commercial acumen of all employees
