As a Regional Environment Lead, promote environmental outcomes by utilising technical expertise to offer expert guidance, aid, and support to team members, stakeholders, and Delivery Partners, and by spearheading continuous enhancements to the HSE Management System.


You will also:

  • Provide a range of HSE support functions to large scale construction projects and maintenance activities.
  • Offer expert and practical environmental advice and resolutions across all facets of environmental management, encompassing legislative adherence and mitigation of environmental risks.
  • Contribute practical environmental insights to the continual development concerning legislative, governmental, and community mandates to ensure Powerlink's compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Furnish a variety of HSE support services for extensive construction ventures and maintenance operations.
The community you will join

Reporting directly to the Manager Environment, you will play a crucial role in providing a diverse range of HSE support functions for large-scale construction projects and maintenance activities, including coordinating environmental approvals and ensuring subsequent compliance with approval conditions.

Your expertise
  • Degree level qualification in Environmental science or a lesser qualification coupled with significant relevant experience.
  • Open C-class drivers licence (manual)
  • Formal investigation or experience in contemporary event learning approaches.
  • Formal internal audit qualifications (e.g. IS14001) and experience in delivering formal HSE audits.
  • First Aid Certificate

We'd also love you to have:

  • Certificate IV or above in Safety
  • Experience in an environment role within the Construction and/or Electricity Industries
