Reporting to the General Manager – SHEQ & working closely with the Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will use your experience in Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) to support our regional team to achieve and maintain our Destination Zero SHEQ objective.

This role is in place to keep our people safe, to assist us to comply with our internal, legislative & contractual requirements & to enhance our SHEQ capability & culture at a regional level.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct audits of our work environments to ensure SHEQ compliance
  • Provide expert advice, assistance & support on all SHEQ matters including risk management, compliance and incident investigation
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase engagement & influence to achieve superior outcomes
  • Enhance our SHEQ capability & culture though training, coaching & mentoring our team on SHEQ matters
  • Deliver the SHEQ business plan within the region, ensuring all projects & activities are successfully rolled out & imbedded at a regional level
  • Drive continuous improvement in SHEQ though identification, analysis, recommendation & development of SHEQ projects & activities
  • Assist in incident investigations and present findings to internal & external stakeholders as required
  • Assist in managing the Workers Compensation, injury management & Return to Work function within the region

The Western Region includes branch locations across Western Australia. Regular travel to sites is a requirement of this role. 


Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Safety or related discipline
  • Relevant SHEQ experience at a senior level – preferably in heavy industry or industrial
  • Ability to communicate with influence across internal & external stakeholder groups
  • A genuine commitment to improving SHEQ outcomes for the benefit of our team
  • Ability to deliver information & training in a professional & impactful manner  
  • Sound knowledge of SHEQ legislative requirements & best practice
  • Ability to facilitate and undertake safety management activities such as audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
