About the role
The Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.
Working over a 7 day rotating shift roster, the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse provides excellence in health care standards, practices in accordance with legal requirements and the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Calvary North Adelaide Hospital. As a nurse within Calvary North Adelaide Hospital you will actively participate in all aspects of patient care within St Helens or Mary Potter Hospice, with some potential to work across both areas or in a permanent night duty role.
Key Responsibilities
- Using a patient centred approach to patient assessment.
- Maintaining high quality care for each patient.
- Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up.
- Develop patient care pathways which consider priorities, time frames, actions and outcomes.
- Evaluating and altering the patient care pathways in relation to changing patient needs in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced and fulfilling environment.
What you bring
- AHPRA Registration
- ADAC V4 competency (if working in St Helens)
- Demonstrated clinical experience in oncology/haematology or palliative care nursing
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare, relevant legislations, policies and procedures
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
