Registered MidwifeMaternity Outpatients

Part Time: Up to 40hrs a fortnight

Fixed term from March 2024 to March 2025

About the role

Maternity Outpatients is located off-site at 1011 Mair St Ballarat and provides antenatal care, domiciliary care and childbirth education classes. You will be encouraged to work in all areas of the care spectrum. Maternity Outpatients operates 7 days a week, and a small component of weekend work is required.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Registered Midwife Grade 2 (YS2-YS8) which ranges from $36.10 - $48.26 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide antenatal care in high and low risk clinics
  • Provide domiciliary care early days postnatal care in the home for mothers and neonates
  • Multi-disciplinary team work and care co-ordination
  • Engage and communicate with all members of the Maternity Outpatients team and allied health clinicians

Skills and experience

  • Recent antenatal care experience recommended
  • Domiciliary Care; Care in the home for Mothers and Neonates (training provided)
  • Childbirth education (training provided)
  • Current APHRA registration (Midwifery)
