Our Midwifery Unit is seeking experienced midwives for a Short Term Contract to assist with staffing shortages in regional South West Victoria. We are a low risk level 2 birthing facility. We have between 60 - 80 births a year, but we do see a lot of outpatients that are too high risk to birth here. We are a small team of 8 Midwives, 1 Obstetrician and 1 Paediatrician. We work shifts (Morning, late, night), but are also expected to be on-call for births. Each shift there is only 1 Midwife rostered, so you do work alone a lot. If ever the Midwife on shift requires additional support, they call in the on-call Midwife. Rates Weekday $98.92 per hour Saturday $174.91 per hour Sunday $179.84 per hour Essential Criteria Fetal heart rate monitoring (FSEP or K2 or equivalent) Obstetric Emergency Training BLS Certification Neonatal Resus Certification Benefits Your own Consultant to liaise with the before, during and after your placement Accommodation (shared) provided by the Health Service at no charge to you Allowances (travel, ND, In charge) About Skilled Medical Nursing and Midwifery Division We are a team of experienced Nurses and Midwives supporting Nurses and Midwives just like you to find your perfect contract.
