We are a well-respected general practice located in Hawker and have recently expanded our business to include a second practice in Casey, ACT. We offer quality care and support to our patients. Our busy practices have 13 doctors, 4 nurses, and an experienced administration team.
Our practices are seeking a motivated and experienced RN to join our friendly team, who would be available to work across both of our locations.
Position will be for a casual Registered Nurse – General Practice
Role Overview:
As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting patient assessments, screenings, and health evaluations.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assisting with minor surgical procedures and wound care.
• Providing patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
• Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience in a general practice or primary care setting
• Current AHPRA Registration as RN (essential)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated competence in the provision of contemporary nursing care including medication management, clinical assessment and relevant documentation (essential)
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and providing patient centered care.
• Ability to multitask in a face paced environment.
• Ability to travel to both Hawker and Casey locations.
