Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team in a permanent part-time capacity.
As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:
- Provide evidence based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
If successful you will be working on a 17 bed surgical ward with a variety of different surgical procedures including cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.
You will be exposed to different nursing procedures including temporary cardiac pacing, chest drain management, wound management and vac dressings.
Essential Criteria:
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Working with Children check
· Commitment to Quality Patient Care
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Works well independently and within a team
· Basic computer skills
Desired Criteria
- Specialty nursing experience

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $34.59 - $48.58 per hour.
