About the Opportunity
The team at Bankstown Hospital are seeking a passionate, empathetic and dynamic Registered Nurse to join their highly skilled team.

We are looking for someone who has a well formed understanding of Acute Aged Care and work autonomously and make informed decisions based on your experience.

You will understand that Aged Care requires passion and you will be well versed in assisting patients and families through their experiences. The role will require you to be able to read the subtle cues from your patients and understand the appropriate responses when dealing with Acute Aged Care Patients.

Compassion will be your driving force your organisation skills will shine in this role. You will be required to achieve results in a challenging and complex environment meaning you will be highly motivated to succeed and be driven by outcomes of improving the patient experience.

The team is a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team and are committed to providing care to client’s and providing support to family and carers.

Where You'll Be Working
Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.

The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital. How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality.
  3. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
  4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
  6. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
  7. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
