Allergy Immunology Associates is an established private practice located in the iconic British Medical Association House on Macquarie St in the Sydney CBD. The clinic services the needs of patients with a variety of allergic and immunologic disorders.
About the role
This position offers a FOUR DAY working week (near full time hours). Candidates must be available Monday, Wednesday, Friday in our Macquarie St rooms and either Tuesday or Thursday at our Westmead rooms. An ideal candidate would have the flexibility to cover occasional extra shifts at our Westmead practice.
You will be involved in the diagnostic and management pathways of patients in our practice.
As part of your job description, you will be involved in;
- skin prick, intradermal and patch testing for allergic disorders (whilst prior experience with these is favourable, training will be provided to the employee if needed)
- performing oral challenges where required (training provided if needed)
- administer subcutaneous immunotherapy as required (training provided if needed)
- perform spirometry on patients as needed (training provided if needed)
- answer occasional incoming phone calls
- basic typing skills to operate practice management software
- liaise with medical receptionist(s) and doctor(s) over issues with respect to patient care
- have a comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology
- medical record filing
