Anaesthetic Nurse

  • Registered or Enrolled Nurse Hours Negotiable Flinders Private Hospital Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated, known as ACHA Health, is one of the largest private not-for-profit hospital groups in South Australia.

ACHA Health comprises Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital. Flinders Private Hospital is seeking experienced perioperative scrub / scout Registered or Enrolled Nurses to join our team.

We perform a broad range of specialties, including Orthopaedic, General, Colorectal, Bariatric, Neurosurgery, Urology, Plastics and Robotic surgery, offering you an exciting opportunity to branch out into different specialty areas. Flinders Private Hospital operating suite is comprised of 9 Theatres and 1 Procedure Room and operates electively over a 6 day week.

Essential Criteria:

  • Participation in a 7 day on call roster
  • South Australian DHS

Working with Children Clearance

  • Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration
  • Two years' minimum experience as a Registered Nurse in Recovery and willingness to learn new specialties
  • Demonstrated understanding of National Safety and Quality Service Standards, ACHA policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage risk
  • Sound knowledge of Peri-Operative ACORN standards and current legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage under pressure with competing demands
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and learning
  • Candidates must hold Australian or NZ citizenship or the capacity to permanently work in Australia.
