The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Wembley team on a Full-time basis. You will work alongside a passionate, multi-modality team that strives to provide the highest standard of patient care and customer service. This is a unique opportunity to develop your nursing skills in Medical Imaging and work alongside a team of motivated professionals.
You will:
- First and foremost, provide compassionate patient care and exceptional customer service.
- Provide specialist nursing expertise in line with established protocols through assisting in/performing procedures that may include: stress tests, IV sedations, fine needle aspirations, core biopsy, CT Cholangiogram, Discograms, Arthrograms, RFA, Cardiac CT and CT Coronary calcium score
- Interpret radiological requests and perform appropriate procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and department policies.
- Commit to continuous improvement by maintaining current knowledge and upskilling in new techniques, advances and more specialised nursing expertise.
Alongside your current AHPRA registration and experience (at least 2 years) in acute, medical/surgical, anaesthetics, day procedures or critical care, you will also have:
- Exceptional patient care skills
- A high level of initiative, with the ability and willingness to work autonomously and problem solve
- Proven ability to work as an effective team member
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Advanced Life Support certification or equivalent.
- Excellent IV Cannulation skills (highly regarded although training can be provided)
