About the role
Mental health nursing is a specialised field of nursing that focuses on caring for people with mental illness or distress. As a mental health nurse at Hyson Green you will provide holistic patient centred care to promote psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Hyson Green is a private 48 bed facility. Hyson Green offers both day and in-patient programs and support for more than 500 patients a year who exhibit common mental health conditions including anxiety, depression and mood disorders. Our team is passionate in supporting patients to achieve their best possible outcomes with high quality tailored programs to suit individual needs.
What you bring
Mandatory:
- Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Evidence of commitment to maintaining ongoing professional development through the participation in education, and training activities relevant to the field of clinical practice.
- Demonstrated high level written and communication skills.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organization
Highly Desirable:
- Post Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or working towards the same.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
- Previous experience in a Mental Health setting.
