We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable Registered Nurse (Level 2) to manage and administer the delivery of nursing care to our clients.
About the role
The duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering NDIS High Intensity Support tailored to the participants’ individual needs. This includes:
- Complex bowel care
- Enteral (naso‑gastric tube‑jejunum or duodenum) feeding and management
- Tracheostomy management
- Urinary catheter management (in‑dwelling urinary catheter, in‑out catheter and suprapubic catheter)
- Ventilator management
- Subcutaneous injections and medications
- Complex wound management
- Medication training of staff
- Coordinating customer and clinical services
- Providing staff with coaching, training and support
- Promoting improvement in quality of life and fostering independence for people with disability
- Providing person centred, holistic and effective care
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing, and a minimum 2 years' clinical or community care experience
- Registration with AHPRA
- Police Check
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Covid-19 vaccination certificate
- Australian driver's licence
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Knowledge of the NDIS Standards
- Knowledge of WH&S principles including safe manual handling procedures
- Experience in the responsible delivery of medication
