About the role
Cloncurry is a Multipurpose Health Service that has 15 acute care beds, 10 Aged Care beds, Community Health Centre, X-Ray department and Pharmacy. Visiting services include Child Health, and Immunisations, working closely with Central West Queensland Medicare Local, Centacare and Blue Care. A range of visiting specialists include Paediatrician, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, General Surgeon, Woman's Health Nurse, Renal Nurse Practitioner.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent, qualification, registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and possession of a current annual practising certificate are mandatory requirements for this role.
- Ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
- Knowledge of legal and professional responsibilities.
- Ability to provide leadership to other Registered Nurses (RN's), Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs).
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with the multidisciplinary team, patients and other stakeholders,
- including participation in relevant networks.
- High standard of written and oral communication skills with the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families.
- Ability to use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.
- Ability to provide clinical education and support and demonstrate own ongoing professional development.
